Bricked Party is a card game made by Odd Eggs Studio. This page says what the game and this website collect, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can to run a fair game.
Playing as a guest
The first time you open the app it makes a guest account for you: a random id, a generated display name, a starter critter and a friend code like PIP-4471. You don't give us an email, a phone number or your contacts to play.
Signing in with Apple or Google
If you choose to save your account, Sign in with Apple or Google tells us an account id and, if you allow it, an email address (Apple can give us a private relay address instead). We use them only to keep you signed in and to let you recover your account. We never post anything on your behalf.
What other players see
- Your display name, your critter and its outfit, your level and your friend code.
- What you play at the table and the round's results.
- Quick-chat emotes from a fixed list. There is no free text or voice chat with strangers.
Display names go through a filter, and you can change yours in the app.
Game data
We keep your results, stats, level, unlocked items and friends on our servers, because the server runs the game and is the record of what you own. The server sees each round's cards; other players' phones see only what the rules let them see.
Purchases
Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check receipts, so we know what you bought and can restore it.
Analytics and crash reports
We use PostHog to understand how the game is played (for example, which screens people reach and where they get stuck) and Sentry to receive crash reports. These include your account id, your device model and operating system, the app version and what happened. They don't include your name or email. We don't sell data and we don't use advertising trackers.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we keep your device's push token to tell you when it's your turn or a friend invites you. Turn them off at any time in your phone's settings.
Reports and safety
When someone reports a player, we keep the report with the room, the round and its last 50 game events, so we can check what happened. We may rename an offensive name, mute emotes or ban an account.
Invite links
When you open an invite link on this website, we keep the room's four-letter code in a cookie on bricked.party for a few hours, so the app can take you to that table after you install it. On Android the code also travels through Google Play's install referrer. Nothing else is tracked.
The launch list
If you join the list, we keep your email (and the name you asked us to hold) to send one letter to confirm and one when the app is out. An address nobody confirms is deleted after a week; after the launch letter we delete the address itself.
Who helps us run Bricked Party
- Cloudflare: servers, database, this website and email sending.
- Apple and Google: sign-in, purchases and push notifications.
- RevenueCat: purchase receipts.
- PostHog: product analytics. Sentry: crash reports.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to Me, then Settings, then Delete account. Your account is deleted 30 days later; signing in before then cancels it. Round results stay in other players' history as "a deleted player". You can also email privacy@bricked.partyfrom the address you signed in with.
Children
Bricked Party is rated for ages 9 and up, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has given us their email, write to us and we'll delete it.
Your rights and contact
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion atprivacy@bricked.party. We'll answer within 30 days. If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app.
